Re: Reptile Show and Tell in Dublin.
What a great way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday. Really enjoyed it, so much so that I'll definitely bring along some of my animals to the next one, hoping that there will be another one. Was probably expecting a few more animals on display, judging by the pre show posts on some forums but I'm sure there was genuine reasons for the no-shows. Hats off to everyone who had their animals on show, mustn't be easy handing your animals to complete strangers to have a look at, but everyone was so enthusiastic and informative. On a personal level, highlights for me were Mark's blackhead pythons, Teddy's Dumerils and JP's caiman.

Re: Reptile Show and Tell in Dublin.
@Mercuryboy....I'm not sure if I got to meet you, I had hoped to greet every person I'd not met previously.....but we had so many people.
(I tried to leave forum names behind).
There were a few last minute cancellations of some nice animals.
Transport is, unfortunately, one of the biggest problems facing anyone bringing animals (especially if one doesn't have a car).
But this is the first of this type of event we've done.....and we had such a good reception that another one is on the cards.
When? it would be premature for me to say, but we did have a quick mention of a plan yesterday.
In the meantime, there will be our usual talks and meetings and bits and dabs that we also do.
It was an excellent day. We got to meet some really nice people, and had a nicely relaxed atmosphere.

@Jonty...cheers.
@Mercuryboy......I've just realised, from another post you made somewhere, the connection. Justine mentioned your name in passing (but not as mercuryboy) and asked her to point you out. Yep....I found you by Mark's black-headed snakes.

Re: Reptile Show and Tell in Dublin.
OK, a few quick snaps from the Show and Tell.
The Crowd just at opening time…and it did not get empty until closing.
Who’s there (and I’ve been careful not to show faces of young people)
Justine munching food in our eating area….but she did seem to spend a lot of time in the eating area.
People looking at a dissected Cobra at the food kiosks…..well, a book with a dissected model anyway.
FAT FROG. Looks like a rubber glove filled with water. The ITFS stand.
More of the Crowd.
How’s there?
Mark’s Black Heads (like a Woma with some boot polish if you ask me)….one of three of them at the Show.
A gecko….a leo gecko….one of Lora’s.
Another gecko….a leo gecko….one of Lora’s.
And this type is my favourite leo. One of Lora’s.
Collies invert thing….big millipede.
Another of Collie’s invert things….a big snail. Great creature. And for the record….I don’t eat French Food, so it would very safe in my house.
Wes and ‘Rob’ Rob….with Rob being inspired by proper animals such as mantids.
Wes and his Mantid.
Mantid.
I didn’t want to spend too much time of taking photos….so I didn’t get any pics of the miniature hatchlings at the show.
Elaine with her Uro.
More of the crowd at opening time.
Not a bad little snake this one….as an understatement. I have other pics and some video….but one pic will do. This was Chris’s superb little animal….and I am gathering that a few others took to this snake.
JP and Tia.
