Re: Avicularia versicolor pics
Cheers folks I am enjoying keeping the T's! More on the way with a bit of luck...
Joe, why haven't you put up a thread/ pics of the Trinidad chevron, I wouldn't mind seeing a few pics of them. I will hopefully be getting some Psalmopoeus slings myself soon

Thanks, that one turned out nice alright, although I have noticed a huge difference in final quality between Photobucket and flickr... Highly recommended for a photo enthusiast like yourself.
The camera is nothing special, a fujifilm S2000HD... Not a holiday point 'n' click, but not the DSLR I would like! Really good for a bridge camera tho...
Sloooow T to moult, but shouldn't be too long till next ecdysis, your "Avic. avic." should start looking like this soon enough!
Cheers

Re: Avicularia versicolor pics
This T hasn't moulted since about late August/September Strange behaviour compared to other T's I've kept, she will feed a lot for about 4-5 weeks, build herself up then go on hunger strike for months , sometimes taking bluebottle flies or waxmoths in between. That's what elicits the strongest feeding response in this particular Avic; smaller flying prey. She'd sooner catch 5 bluebottles than one standard/ large silent cricket.

Re: Avicularia versicolor pics
This one moulted a couple of weeks back, and the adult colouration is getting strong... Forgot to post a few updates on EIE, but here's an X-Wing chasing Boba Fett to make up for it.

Re: Avicularia versicolor pics
Cheers Tan, really nice T's deffo, this one's a bit more defensive than it used to be, but still a docile T really!
Of course there are a lot faster genus of spiders in the hobby, but this one can put boot-to-ground fairly lively!!
