This is a joint H.S.I. and Reptile Village event.
ALL welcome.
H.S.I. members receive a 30% discount on Reptile Village admission fee for the event.
Please bring membership cards (if you have any queries on this then please contact me)
This is an ideal opportunity to meet other members of the Herpetological Society and some of the users on this forum.

Please note that 2009/2010 membership cards will expire on 31st October 2010. 2009/2010 membership is still valid for events and receipt of Lacerta upto that date.

If anyone who is not a member of the H.S.I. wishes to sign-up as a member before the CROC-tober event (and before noon on Friday 22nd October), then please send an e-mail to secretary@thehsi.org to indicate your interest.

{please note that the secretary will be out of e-mail contact from noon on Friday 22nd October until after the event}

The secretary will then make arrangements before the event opens to sign you up on our database.
We can also add you to our mailing list to receive further details on this event.

You are also free to ask queries on H.S.I. membership in an e-mail.

The next issue of our publication, Lacerta, is due back from the printers.....so that means that we will have copies available for new members at Reptile Village.

We will also be having a limited number of some past issues of Lacerta at the event. See http://www.thehsi.org/publications.php for an exploded view of past copies of Lacerta.

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO THE SCHEDULE FOR CROC-TOBER!!

I am pleased to announce the following titles for our talks on the day...

First talk by Rob Gandola on "Community Based Crocodilian Conservation"

Second talk by J.P Dunbar on "Training of Crocodilians".

There will also be a crocodilian documentary shown, as well as the raffle, silent auction and face-painting!

Only a few days left to go folks, if you havent already made plans to come along THIS SATURDAY then do so now!!!

If you havent already decided to attend then now is the time to do so!

This should be a brilliant day, having talks and demonstrations with a crocodilian theme.
There will also be a raffle, silent auction, face painting and more!

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the IUCN Crocodile Specialist Group.

The more the merrier, we hope to see everyone there!
