Colombian rainbow Boa

here's the latest addition to the collection, a wee CRB that i picked up from Ady last night, i popped it earlier and i'm 99% sure it's a female. these are beautiful looking snakes, unfortunately they loose most if not all of their lovely markings as they grow..............

Looks like my oul yin. How old is it ?........................ Nawwwwww, too young m8. Ya missed a cracker that time ad mine up fer sale. Hence av now got the Hogg Island, that's the only reason a got rid of her, greatly underestimated snake.

This one's only a worm, it looks a lot like a paraguayan but it'll lose all the markings and go almost completely plain, some of the adults end up with no markings at all. i wish i'd taken your old one now, the female i had picked up turned out to be a male grrrr

I thought it would have been one of the adults, but its much more fun seeing them grow and change from babies. Lovin the head pattern on these dudes.

Thay stay pretty small, they only get to 4.5 to 5 feet

I like to watch them grow but always end up wishing i'd bought an adult after a while, i've no patience
She popped as female last night, i'm going to give her another check and might get one of the adult males.

Ooooops, my mistake m8 , just glanced at the pic', very like the Paraguayan at that early age.

Like you say it will loose all those markings, pity. ( yes, you should have jumped when she was there, ready for breeding too. These things happen m8 )

I know Ian I'm gutted I didn't take her at the time but hey hindsight is a wonderful thing. I'm currently searching high and low for a female, which is proving to be more difficult than I thought.
