Re: My Rein snakes
WOW, that is one stunning species of snake!
Tell us a little about them....are they hard to look after? A temperate or tropical species? Not a species you really see very often.

Re: My Rein snakes
They are LTC, bought them as young WC animals 3-4 yrs ago. With patience they have started to feed and I have no problem with them at all. Usually they stop feeding around november and getting back on food around feb, occasionally accepting food during this period. They do not require a very hot environment (max 25C), I keep them between 20-25C, they like to be in the water a lot and I never handle them as they are feisty (I am usually using a snake hook... don't like being bitten :)). They feed on thawed mice, I just have to tease them a bit with the food and leave it in the cage, they will go and eat it when the room is quiet and dark.
