Hedgie update

After thinking only one of our females had held, we were surprised to find that our dark grey female (Treacle) had also produced babies.
Today was the first time we had handled the babies so here are a few pics showing both litters with their mums.
Treacle with her 3 babies
Cinnamon with her 5 babies
"Who turned on the lights"?
We also sexed them and have a nice even split of 4 males and 4 females.

Superb!! Looks like a little snowflake there in Treacles litter but too early to tell and could be the lighting & does that brown in Cinnamons litter have pinto pattern? You know how I LOVE my Pinots :) either way they are all looking nice and healthy. Keep the images coming guys.

but what ive always wondered is how does the female cope with giving birth to something that is very spikey? lol
