I love royals it's just the feeding that gets to me lol.

yeah i know what you mean my royal in the picture hasnt eaten for 5 months!!! and is very stubborn about it nothing is working so far :(

What have you tried so far

5 months isn't to bad.

First off try different times of the day, my female used to only feed in the mornings.
Next up is make sure the mouse is heated properly I leave mine on a heatmat for a good while.
Some of them are fussy about the colour as well.

Let me know as there are different tricks to try.

Have you been keeping records of weight as well ?

yes but the weight hasnt really changed largely. I have tried night feeding but no success so far as have been too busy for morning feedings. I heat mine in boiling water and leave the for several minutes to ensure proper defrostation and heating. Thats the main reason why i dont understand his lack of feeding i have owned him for over 4 years and never had this problem before

yes he has been feeding like mad for me the last few weeks theres no stopping him lol hopefully hell get back to a good weight for breeding soon

Good stuff and glad to hear he's feeding now. What did you try that kicked it off again?

i wrapped insulating tape around his tub to make it darker and he fed almost immediately now hes feeding without the tape around the tub i cant get the food near him fast enough :P
