Re: Big thanx to Karl here....
Thanx folks.....from what I've found so far hypo is either recessive or polygenic in these guys so hypo x hypo breeding is required to produce visual hypo offspring.
Haven't seen too many in the uk yet but a few seem to darken to a rich brick red as they mature with cream saddles and marking and also seen a couple with absolutely no black scaling at all, even towards the tail

Re: Big thanx to Karl here....
Nice pics Buddy - I'm sorry to see those guys go, but to a good home they have went
The hypo trait in Bredl's is polygenic, so breeding a hypo to a 'normal' Bredl's or a hypo to another hypo could yield a whole range of appearances, from normal-looking Bredl's to ones even more hypo in appearance than their parents. Its a luck-of-the-draw thing and not a sure genetic trait. But good hypos will always be brighter and have less black than standard wild-type Bredl's.
Some of the hypo Bredli produced in Oz knock the socks clean off anything yet produced in Europe or the U.S. and its possibly a different hypo gene at work in their lines.

Re: Big thanx to Karl here....
It depends on appearance....normal hatchling Bredl's are around the £150 mark at present so anything above that for a hypo. The nicer the hypo, the bigger the price tag! It does pay to find a nice line though as otherwise they will develop into normal-looking Bredl's with age.
