Hey Buddy..some hot off the press info on these frogs...the fantasy is the bottom frog the duller of the two...apparently it will colour colour up in due course, this leaves the more colourful chap [at this stage anyway] Ceratophrys cranwelli....frog gurus please assist here so that I can get this correct....
Re: My New Frogs.....meet Karl and Raymond!!
could be the case tony...just checked there and juvenile cranwells can be very vividly coloured, also it's blunter nose also matches cranwelli
ps...how are they settling in , this wee one here wants to eat us out of house and home

Re: My New Frogs.....meet Karl and Raymond!!
Buddy,
They're both doing really well thanks for asking...the fantasy has eaten a day old pinkie and waxworms and the Cranwell's has leaned towards waxworms and mealworms...I'm off to dig up some nice juicy earthworms this afternoon!!

Never mind. I went a googling but always find it better when an owner can shed some light.

I use a similar type product for the cresties but how cool was the last frog feeding in that vid. I'm starting to like these guys a lot :)

Re: My New Frogs.....meet Karl and Raymond!!
The one I liked on the price list is over 300euro....think it will be a while before I can justify spending that on a frog
Re: My New Frogs.....meet Karl and Raymond!!
A lady with expensive taste I doubt....

Sorry Tan...didn't see your post...give me a little while and I'll send you a wee pic of their set ups....I downsized their accommodation yesterday.....
Re: My New Frogs.....meet Karl and Raymond!!
No worries Are you making room for something else lol silly season is almost upon us....
Re: My New Frogs.....meet Karl and Raymond!!
A couple of small acquisitions, however, no great breeding plans this coming season...most of my animals will mature properly during the next year...but there may be one or two pairings...we'll see!!
Re: My New Frogs.....meet Karl and Raymond!!
OK so back to the frogs....truth is I'm a total beginner and defer to the likes of Buddy, Mr.Gibbon, Karl et al who have all been doing amphibians for a good while.
I've rehoused my two little chaps in a 3L RUB housing [each] at the moment they're both just a little bigger than a £2 piece and this size suits them well enough for now...I have a couple of 19L tubs waiting for them whenever they increase in size....moist coco fibre substrate, topped with spagnum moss and a water dish, relatively high humidity and a temp of around 27.5 seems to be working well, both are feeding well so no complaints....maybe Buddy or one of the other froggy gurus can write a more definitive article....I can't as I lack the experience....but I'm learning!!
