some little retics
Here are two of the little ones who made a mess of their respective vivs, and I just decided to get a quick snap whilst we were moving them about.
The guy on the left is a just about 2 yr old Clark line superdwarf, het for albino. His size is ridiculous.
The female on the right is a honey island (madu). She is 5/6 yrs old and stupid small also, less than 5 ft. She was wild caught as a juvi.

As always, apologies for the poor cameraship and ta for looking

Re: some little retics
aww bless her, she's tiny!
And she has such gorgeous markings, but an awfully squashed up face from glass rubbing. She's the only WC snake I have, and the only one I've had who has ever done this. But she's settling down nicely over the past few months.
She has never snapped, although she's inclined to musk. Would prefer a tag from her any day

Re: some little retics
Ta guys
Phil - all of the clark line SD's have been outcrossed since day one, they were never bred together by bob or Mike wilbanks, but morphs were introduced via dwarf lines. But the albino obviously still originated from mainlands. The stats promoted for SD morphs are 50% SD, 25% Jampea and 25% mainland. And they are staying at around the 6 ft max mark for females. Bob's largest 10 yr old female is 6 1/2 ft. I would imagine we'll see some slightly larger sizes as more morphs are introduced, but that's why it's up to breeders to be selective, as well as honest about the exact parentage of particular animals...

Very nice Lisa. That female is beautiful and I can see we are going to have some fun on the forum in the next couple of years with all these smashers people have in their collections.

I'm just going to use the female for downsizing some morphs A pal in the UK has used his to great effect with the sunfire and although they are a direct cross, the hatchlings are tiny and are growing very slowly.
I may make some pure locality madus with a friend's male, but my main interest with the teenies is morphs
I hope to put the male to a nice female next yr It's my mainlands I'm most excited about for next yr though!

Thanks Tan, and you're right Phil, there are loads of nice animals in the country growing on at the moment. Hopefully it won't be like the horse industry at the moment, with all of the really nice animals being produced having to be sold overseas. I'd love to see some of the babies we'll hopefully produce stay in the country!
Re: some little retics
I couldn't agree more Lisa- its time to buy and sell within our own island and look after our own economy as much as possible.
