Awww how cute. The biting is normal, its partly for the Jackobsons but also they are at teething age so loads of gummy chews atm. lol. Skins a little dry but other wise looking fantastic Kerrie. Keep those pics coming :)

The dry skin can be there for a number of reasons. Did I not advise on one of your hogs on EE? How old are they now Kerrie? You can give them warm baths with pure aloe (nothing else added to the mixture) or apply aloe directly to the skin and wait for it to be absorbed. You can grow your own very easily. I would use this over other creams as it is 100% safe for them and will also sooth the itching dry skin brings. You can also try a bath in warm oat milk which again will help sooth the skin and return it to how it should be. Thats if this is just dry skin due to bedding BUT I also recommend once they are old enough treating for mites. Don't worry, it's very common and not taboo as some will make you feel like it's the worst in the world. I think as we have been very agressive the past few years in getting the info out there the attitude of the masses has some what relaxed but still there are the od few. I highly recommend you treat all hogs you own monthly with quartly being a minimum.

Thats what I have been using as the Selemectin seems to be failing which is a pitty. Just make sure good airflow, I do it out doors most of the time. You can treat babies at 6weeks with selemectin which should be ok, I know if they had a bad infestation you can treat but as the dose is so small being something like 6mg per kg then its hard to do.. Also tbh I have had to up the dose using a full 15mg tube and also the high solution to get a result and there is much to show that some hogs require 35mg dose which is recorder so play it by ear, do the drop to the back of the neck and along the back and see what happens, you can also within a few hours bath them which will help too with the skin.
