Re: royals
Yeah finally I got to breed some royals. Talk about patience. I cut the eggs about 2 weeks ago. I had to see what was in there. Over the moon.

Re: royals
Thanks Phil, I will wait untill the spider shed and I will sex it properly. It looks like a she. If the spider is a female I will keep her. The other thing with the 3 normal looking babies,I will have too wait untill they shed and I will give them a good checking is they are very similar to the yellow belly male I have. The little marking on the back of the yellowbelly males head is on all 3 normalish looking baby royals.I put the pastel male, yellow belly male and the spider male in at different times with the female. All 3 males where produceing sperm plugs. For the last few weeks and when I noticed the female ovulating the spider was in with her. I must check to see can multiple dadies happen in royals. I know for a fact in some animals can produce babies in a litter with mulitiple dadies.

Re: royals
Huge congrats on your babies, fingers crossed the spider is girl if that's what you're after.
Yes, you can get split clutches in royals, although it doesn't happen that foten.
of course, can't be totally certain from pictures, or without seeing bellies, but the other babies look like normals to me. Hopefully you'll prove me wrong though!
Best of luck with them.

Re: royals
Yep, you're right, you never know. Post some pics/belly pics up when they have shed.
What I will say is they do all seem to have some granite type markings. Have you got a photo of Mum?

Re: royals
Hi Midori, you could be right about the granite thing. Thats one of the first things I said to Phil of this forum. I got the male yellowbelly with the help of phil. When I went up to Phils house to pick the snakes up.As soon as I seen the yellowbellies I said they look very granite like aswell. The mother is a normal royal. The 3 babies have a couple of signs of being granite. The marking on the back of there neck just at the back of there heads and some of the peppering affect on there sides. These are the things I love about snakes and breeding.
