Making water move....
Here's a couple of simple shots of a babbling brook....you kind of get the effect of a flowing stretch of water....these phots shot at high F stop, to get as much depth of field and a slow shutter speed approx 1.3s....the longer the exposure the smoother the flow....
Other things useful....a tripod so the camera remains completely motionless through the exposure....a shutter release cable or wireless variant of the same for the same reason....oh, and a pair of wellies!!!
Interested to see some of your snaps of brooks, streams, rivers and sea using a similar method...try it you'll be surprised how your image turns out....
