Hare in Belfast Zoo
I was up at the Zoo today and on my way out, I thought I saw some Rabbits grazing by the side of the road, but, to my pleasant surprise they were Leverets.
Has anyone else seen them up there? I thought it was nice to see these guys looking fit and healthy and totally unfazed by me breaking & shouting 'OMG HAIR' (to myself might I add ) although I didn't stop and drove past slowly so not to disturb them.

Cool, where they on the grass on the hill up / down to the Zoo from the main road? Never seen them around the Zoo grounds before but the hills around about hold good habitat for them - they were Irish hares yeah?

Yes they were Irish Hare :) and they were on the Grass on the side as you drive in/out but the closest part to the car park and not the road (if that makes sense). I'm going back up in a few weeks so will see if I can spot them again, bring my camera this time.

Re: Hare in Belfast Zoo
HAHA he was the US vice president who shot the ranch hand while hunting, claiming he thought the guy was a quail (or something like that)
Re: Hare in Belfast Zoo
Ah but he was a very small man with hair like feathers :)

I like Squirrels but nothing like seeing the little Iora Rua (Red Squirrel). You should try get some pics for us. Nothing like the native wildlife :)
