Yeah not a bad idea to liven things up a bit with a few pics of spiders, I'll add a few of mine! As for your B. albopilosum, that's the biggest opisthosoma I have seen in quite some time, I'm trying to imagine her webbing like that, I wouldn't want to be her pedicel right about now!!
I'm an old world Theraphosid kind of girl myself, as you can see!
My pride and joy:
Poecilotheria subfusca by choobaine, on Flickr
This guy moulted out M/M a few weeks ago, is terrified of my receptive female, it would be funny if it wasn't so sad to watch!

Don't try this at home, chaps!

I have had six males of this species before I finally found a female. That's why I buy slings in bulk!!
Heteroscodra maculata by choobaine, on Flickr
Despite mating her a couple of weeks after moulting and simulating seasons (I even candled her at one point, she lit up yellow) she moulted out.

I don't show this one often because I am ashamed to have such an unattractive spider never liked P. striata, thought about trading her for any other female pokie but who would want this?!

Finally sexed my P. formosa and I have a definite female among the group, just one, the rest are males. I have had four males to this one female, is there something wrong with me?! :P My comparison shot isn't fantastic but you can see the difference.
Re: A few from today....
Excellent series of shots guys and some stunning spids. Great sexing shots Sofiya, I still haven't a clue what I have but one of these days I'll figure it out.
Tony you have to keep us updated on the B. Albopilosum. She looks fit to burst, how long off is she?

Re: A few from today....
I can't agree with you, Ari, she looks like she was put in the wash and her colours ran!
Poecilotheria striata by choobaine, on Flickr
I got her fresh out of the eggsac and watched her grow and she always looks dirty/messy. I'd much rather a P. regalis, nice clean markings.
Anyway, enough looking at my ugly pokie, here's a much nicer one!
Poecilotheria formosa by choobaine, on Flickr
Also, here's an old photo of an avic, this is not photoshopped in any way!

I got this Avic to help my partner with his arachnohpobia, she was sold about a year ago to one of his friends (who keeps spiders too) when I went exclusively old world.
Right enough from me, I have flooded this threat with my photos enough, I want to see from everyone else!

Re: A few from today....
Great pics, I've a number of striata and regalis and I must say striata [for me] is the outstanding of the two....
Re: A few from today....
Smashing images Sofiya! Between yourself and Tonys skills you're putting the rest of us to shame lol
