Late laying of an egg
My female laid eggs about 3 weeks ago, when I removed her from the nesting box, she was fine, her vent area was no enlarged and there appeared to be no lumps.
I fed her 3 days ago, she is eating like a horse, and yesterday I noticed an egg shape lump near her tail. rang the vet to make an appointment for this morning, however when I got home this morning from work, she past the egg and a pile of pooh over night
Has anyone heard of similar? I will be keeping a very close eye on her for the next few weeks

That is good then, she seems fine, just my first attempt at breeding and it scared the pants off me

Fantastic project Sean, make sure to let us know how the babies get along when they hatch.

Re: Late laying of an egg
Thanks lads, so am I, she is a lovely natured female and looking forward to a few hatchlings. First attempt so praying hard :)
Re: Late laying of an egg
I have never had this happen but have heard of it. Did she ever pass more eggs and how did you get on with the clutch? I wouldn't mind a sunspot or two
Re: Late laying of an egg
She past only the one egg and is wolfing down her mice :) Clutch is going fine, have 7 of the 9 feeding regular every week, just waiting on a shed before I advertise them :)
