Late laying of an egg Empty Late laying of an egg

Post by thecivvie Sat Jun 04, 2011 11:32 am

My female laid eggs about 3 weeks ago, when I removed her from the nesting box, she was fine, her vent area was no enlarged and there appeared to be no lumps.

I fed her 3 days ago, she is eating like a horse, and yesterday I noticed an egg shape lump near her tail. rang the vet to make an appointment for this morning, however when I got home this morning from work, she past the egg and a pile of pooh over night

Has anyone heard of similar? I will be keeping a very close eye on her for the next few weeks

I have never had this happen but have heard of it. Did she ever pass more eggs and how did you get on with the clutch? I wouldn't mind a sunspot or two Wink

She past only the one egg and is wolfing down her mice :) Clutch is going fine, have 7 of the 9 feeding regular every week, just waiting on a shed before I advertise them :)
