Sexing Leos
I noticed there wasn't a post / thread about sexing Leopard Geckoes yet, so having acquired a male Leo to add to my 2 females, I thought a few snaps would help
Female - faint V-shaped line above the tail which are the tiny pre-anal pits
Male - much more pronounced V-shaped line above the tail which are the pre-anal PORES; also notice the 2 bulges at the base of the tail, these are the hemipenal bulges. You can actually see the small slits in the bulges from where the hemipenes would evert during mating

Re: Sexing Leos
As usual great pics Karl, it might be helpful to say that it is sometimes possible to see these differences as early as 3 months of age but some males do take a bit longer to develop their "bumps"
