hey folks, picked this wee one up last nite, tis a lovely female false water cobra, and i couldnt resist snappin a few pics before puttin her in to settle for a couple of weeks...

She is gorgeous. I have never seen one in person but they do look pretty awesome. Very nice pick up.

That's a great new addition, false water cobra's are nice, does it hood up much? I've heard a lot of them are absolute nut jobs, what's this one like?

this 1 seems pretty relaxed tbh, was a long journey home last nite and she let me pick her up and sat on the hook for a bit so i could get a good look at her no bother, didnt hood at all then went into the viv nice as ya like...

think i was stressin more than the snake!lol! tho i think it might be a different story if theres food on the go!

cheers steve, yea was eyeing waynes up for a while myself, then a wee unexpected oppertunity came up to get this 1 and i jumped at the chance.

yea i have herd a few scare stories about these myself but fingers crossed this 1 stays as calm as she seems!

not sure on age but shes around the 6ft mark, sat and made an extension hook las nite to about 4ft before i went near it like!lol! but as i said she was so placid it was unreal.

very nice pick up indeed:) wiil you have breeding plans for these?

cheers mate, yea i would like to mabye find a male and have a crack at it like, tho have never bred before so it will be a wile dwn the line before i start considerin it seriously. Gona try and get used to workin with this 1 for a bit see how it goes.

yea mate i hadnt seen these before until i seen his, then started researchin them, interesting animals like, didnt actually think id ever own one but there ya go, tho i dont think ive ever been more nervous pickin up a snake for the 1st time but shes a wee darling!
