An Irish First?
Walked into the herp room to check on everyone this morning and noticed some discoulouration in the water, so I took a closer look into our expectant Yellow Anaconda's viv and saw babies EVERYWHERE!
Needless to say, Chris leaped out of the bed and ignored his hangover to enjoy the sight in the viv :)
So far we have 14 tubbed up, 2 still visible in the viv (wedged up on a branch and won't come down) and we're not sure whether or not she's done. Only one slug in the waterbowl this morning which she has since eaten.
Enjoy!

That's all for now folks. Video footage will be added later.
They are like little chainsaws, absolutely mad in the head lol

Re: An Irish First?
I'd say you are, it never leaves you does it, the buzz babies bring and this must have made you dizzy with excitement lol any hold backs?
Re: An Irish First?
It's our first boa breeding, so our first live-bearers, so that's a real bonus. Absolutely fantastic!
We'll probably be hanging onto one it'd be nice to raise one from hatchling and then when it's older, take a blood sample and find out which of our males is the daddy lol

Re: An Irish First?
lol snake paternity, I love it (make sure it doesn't grow up with a complex and end up and Jerry Springer). Keep us posted (you know we love pics ) and again well done.
Re: An Irish First?
Heartiest congrats! Lovely pics Milca, doesn't it give you a real buzz when breedings go according to plan. We bred Anacondas at Belfast zoo way back in 1975, didn't suspect she was pregnant until the babies appeared, a real surprise but a most pleasant one.
