Geckos saving lives

Anybody watched the documentary on discovery science called weird connections? Scientists have been researching how geckos stick to surfaces, and are trying to create equipment for firefighters to save lives based on materials made from there findings. for example high rise buildings.

Yes seen that before. You tend to find out about these things when you become obsessed with the 'yes but HOW do they do that' although gecko hairs are up there with spider silk in my OMG that's amazing. If you research their feet a little more you'll get dragged in, really fascinating stuff.
