Mr Krishna Ghule handled a "King Cobra". He is Master in Snake Handling. King Cobra of Wt - 16Kg, length 12'-3", seized in Goa, INDIA.
Found the above photo and text on the net, this species is the largest venomous snake maxing out at a record 18ft. If the animal in the photo is only 12ft you kind of get a mental image of what a record King might look like.....
I don't know how Mr Ghule was appointed Master Snake Handler, perhaps there is a degree course on the Indian sub continent

Re: King Cobra
Impressive aren't they? Absolutely stunning snake. Did anyone watch the program about them breeding and tracking kings? They tracked a female and discovered her with a male who went from courting to killing her. Was very sad as I think it took her over an hour to die but interesting to see this behaviour. She had been mated by another male I think but I saw the program so long ago i'm not 100% sure.
King Doc
Yes i watched that documentary. It was on National Geographic or one of the documentary channels. She was already gravid when he tried mating her. he then turned on her and tried to swallow her. Very interesting viewing.

That is one big cobra!
I can't imagine that course being filled up and the drop out (or fall down) rate statistics must be fairly high.
