I think this is what is refered to as Paradox Albinism (something which contradicts itself). Some amelanistic corns can have black areas which obvious is not expected at all hence the paradox. Charles Pritzles photographic example of a paradox albino is a beautiful snow with black spots.

had a look on the net there at paradox albino corns, but they dont really seem to be the same... and there are ones have it from babies... this boyo of mine is a yearling now and only showing these marks... but they are a very uniform shape, so could be some sort of pattern comin through

I sent the photos over to Charles Pritzel and asked for his opinion. This is the reply I received, hope it helps;

Hi again Tan,

Some amels and snows do have black spots on them, they are usually a bit larger patches though and occur inside the "border" areas where the snake would typically have black if it weren't an amel.

The first thing I noticed in those pics is that the black spots are not randomly distributed nor in the border area. It looks like marks one would get if the snake rubbed against something while crawling past it. My first guess would be this is an "injury" (or rash/irritation) of some kind.

Thanks,
Charles Pritzel
