Re: Showing Off
Nice. I am tempted to get a patternless from Ben Renick and also a hypomelanistic. Can I take the attitude but?????

Re: Showing Off
Thanks guys. She's 8 foot on the most recent measurement. She loves her climbing frame.. I have some better pics of her viv... She's a very chilled conda, as are all of them in the house (bar the most recent addition, but I'm working on him, he's my little project :) ).
@ Warren - I have yet to see a conda morph that I like. There's just something much more appealing to the natural colouration of a snake, especially these guys.
Here she is with her mouth full:

Re: Showing Off
She is indeed well back to her weight Lisa. She was slow to pile it back on but got there in the end. There was no rush to push her weight up, just fed as normal. Never missed a feed this girl, even when she was gravid (though we did take care to give her smaller prey items). It was amazing to see the transformation from heavily gravid to empty... She literally shrank overnight!
@ Phil, I've said it before and I'll say it over and over again - it annoys me greatly that so many folks floating about stick their oar in and start gobbing on about the temperament of these guys as if they know what they're talking about. We've had people try to tell us what they're like, never having kept them or having temporarily had one in their care.
We've got 4 yellows here aside from the babies. The female, 2 males and a wee skitter of a thing that looks to be about 14-16 months old at the most. The female is the most settled out of all of them. She's easy to handle, has never struck and is fairly predictable. Once you treat her with respect, she's happy to have you around. The two males will take the odd snap at you, but nothing worth shouting about. It's not a feeding response, it's merely a
'right, I've had enough' snap and they're quite happy even if they don't catch you to settle back down again.
The last one that came into the house is demented. Well, it was. It has settled down a great deal, and this is just from enhancing its enclosure to suit its needs. We are firm believers in enrichment and it has made all the difference in conjunction with handling and decent meal sizes for all of our yellows and has really improved the beahviour of this little one in a few short months with absolutely no handling. I'm still hooking in and out of the enclosure and I haven't been snapped at in about a month, which is good going for it...
I've rambled on a bit. Have a link to a great bit of info on Yellows' enclosures here, worth the read:
