Graniteback Retic
This big girl got the first set of branches that we stripped a few weeks ago. They were put in yesterday, the first few pics were taken not long after they were put into the viv, the rest were taken this morning.

Re: Graniteback Retic
She's just over 13 foot or so I think, hasn't been measured in a while. The viv is 7x2x2. It won't be long before this girl gets herself upgraded. We'd prefer to have her in a deeper viv, but at the moment our kitchen just won't allow it. We're in rented accommodation, and so would never get it out the door if we made it the size we want it when we move into our own house!
Re: Graniteback Retic
i know the feeling but she not tight for space as we can see in the pics as i said very nice

Re: Graniteback Retic
Super job Milca, the branches look great and she seems to be enjoying them. What all did you have to do to them to prepare them for the viv?
Re: Graniteback Retic
Locate a decent tree, saw them down, remove all twigs and smaller forks, strip with a lock knife (all done by my other half) - sweep the floor (that was me) and then leave them in the hallway to dry for a few weeks :)
Re: Graniteback Retic
not too much work involved then, well not for you anyway i have a couple of 6x2x2 that are over due a couple of big branches, i best get my finger out Marty
Re: Graniteback Retic
Another big girl and the viv looks awesome Milca. Is there a boy for these girlies?
Re: Graniteback Retic
What a stunner!
I know what you mean about the depth. 2 and a half feet was the widest we could go and still get in and out doorways. Our largest vivs are 8x2 1/2 x 2 1/2, ad ideally I want much more depth, as well as height....

Re: Graniteback Retic
Thanks guys. We just can't make them big enough. If we could, we'd have them all in walk-in enclosures the size of a small box room, but it's not time for that just yet.
