Re: boas and bite pics...
Confidence is the main thing.
I think a feeding response bite would deffo be alot worse than anything I have had so far.

Re: boas and bite pics...
just noticed new replies to this wee thread...
i had heard myself that the bites from these were pretty bad but i suppose its down to the individual too as i have quite a high pain thresh hold.
im not sayin it wasnt sore tho, the initial bite wasnt that bad but about an hr or so later when the bruisin started kickin in it got a bit tender!
this is the culprit, sadly no longer with me and is around 6ft

Re: boas and bite pics...
To be honest most of the really bad bites are probably just from people pulling away and getting shredded insead of just a few mild punctures.
Re: boas and bite pics...
yea mate, there alot less bad if ya just take it, but it is hard to fight natural instinct to pull away from the bitey thing...
with that old ATB ya could read it most times, tho it did used to fly at ya then stop just before your hand and have a wee lick and just when ya think aww its not gona bite, bang! but i do thing also thats why i thought the bites wern't too bad. i only got caught with 1 proper strike and it def stung more than most.

Re: boas and bite pics...
It is hard I have never pulled away from one, although it's not cause I'm hard as nails or anything it's just cause I haven't had a chance. It's always either been a case of a snake turning round quickly and biting the hand I was holding it with or just an unexpected bite when I wasn't expecting it or not paying attention.
Re: boas and bite pics...
Thankfully I have never had a bite that has caused pain.
My king snakes are deffo the worst for holding on and not letting go.
