Hairy dudes in the desert
Juvenile Arizona Hairy scorpions Hadrurus arizonensis - these guys can move some earth for all the size of them. What they lack in size they more than make up for in strength, appetite and aggression!

Karl thats a funky looking scorp. Did you just get the one? I NEED a flamin black light, it's next on my list and that's a fantastic set of images. How much fun can be had in your house with these alone :)...Also, pmsl at your reason for editing
Buddy that's a great shot. You seem to have kept some mental arachnids in the past lol

I got 2 small juvies, they are teeny-tiny but so much fun to watch....and they wolf down nymph dubia roaches like theres no tomorrow! I've been after these little guys for a while now and finally found them.
Buddy, thats an amazing shot - any shots of their set-up? Its looks cracker.

How did you get that shot under UV light. I have tried with my scorpions but the shots never look as good as that.

Re: Hairy dudes in the desert
I have a small UV torch, and shone it on the scorpion while taking the shot with the flash off; I then slowly switched the flash on, which drowned out the UV light, and took the second shot so that the scorpion was in the same pose in both photos.
