Jurassic Bay.
Couple of pics from our local promenade. The rocks in the foreground of the first pic are where the Jurassic Coast begins! The rocks in the background belong to the Triassic period. Larne is one of only four places in the whole world where this phenomenon occurs and it's not even mentioned on the promenade walk. Larne Council are idiots.
A little bit more info.

Re: Jurassic Bay.
Fergie....I'm guessing that there must be countless ammonite fossils as there is on the south of England's "Jurassic Coastline"....or not?
Re: Jurassic Bay.
you find a great varity of fossiled shells inc. ammonites it was a great hobby of mine until i started working down south, i do have a good collection(sad or what) but a few years ago a man found full fossil remains of an ichthyosaur not far from gavins pics
witch proves that ichthyosaurs swam in these wasters (how much of a geek am i) the larne ichthyosaur is on display in the Belfast museum
