Re: Remember that High Orange ♀ BRB
Happy days Tony! Does that make one gravid female BRB and one copulating BRB?

So far Karl...we'll keep a keen eye on the one that's paired up for the next little while....in the lap of the gods as always... out of town for a few weeks, however, will be online as normal between travelling...

Cool thing about the BRB and probably other Epicrates species [although I can't confirm the latter] is they are non seasonal breeders....fluctuations in temps particularly NTL's can elicit a breeding response at any time...in addition I've found it useful to have two healthy adult males to compete for favours....single adult males and females being introduced is a little hit and miss...two males and one female, seems to get the required response....as a trio in a 4 foot housing things can get pretty physical....I use the very large ceramic dog food bowls as water dishes....these can be flipped over as if they're not even there....best bet is to remove any unsecured furnishings if you're going to have a bash at these to avoid unnecessary injury to the animals....the two pictured were locked tightly all of yesterday and prior to my departure this morning....he wasn't for letting go....

Jay,
And a great result, we're all delighted for you!!! The link to our gravid ♀ is below. She due anytime the 05 Sep onwards, fingers crossed....and the orange female has started laying sideways post copulation which may be a good sign....I'm waiting on the odd photo from Jack!

Re: Remember that High Orange ♀ BRB
Well here she is again...Jack's observed her belly up and sideways from the 29 onwards, the picture below shows her plumped up nicely, so hopefully she's doing a little ovulation for us...Jack's going to try to capture a shot away from the water bowl so I can get a better look myself..I'll pop it up when I have it...
In the meantime here she is....bear in mind that this animal isn't the junior ♀ we're waiting on at the moment...this girl is a good six and a half footer!!!
Jack and I'll keep you updated....fingers crossed!
