bob's superdwarfs are apparently a separate pure island locality.
I can't vouch for the truth of this statement, but we bought one from him a yr ago. It def isn't kay locality and is tiny - only about three ft and slender as can be at over a yr old, despite a savage appetite!
It's crazy to see the growth rate difference bet him, the dwarfs we have and the mainland sized retics.

The superdwarf we have is also 100% albino, so obviously new blood was introduced to the 'pure locality' superdwarf, but according to mr clark he initially breeds colour into dwarfs, then superdwarfs from dwarfs, then a few generations are bred before he will sell as pure superdwarfs. (which they obviously never are, but they're tiny, so that suits me!)

This is all bob's talk, and don't know how much of it is true either. But certain breeders are selling superdwarf albinos at mo which i strongly suspect to be a direct cross bet a superdwarf and dwarf. Which is fine, but it should say so IMO. Bob is only producing his first albino superdwarfs this yr Wink

Was in cold blooded last week, tommy - it's a pretty cool shop and the guys are dead on!

I'll get some pics of the retics soon - really bad at it tho...keep meaning to do growth rate pics bet dwarfs/superdwarfs and mainlands!

No ady (sorry about the mistaken id!), I live in Wexford. The other half's family have a place in UK which is handy for snake business. We were in rainham last week to pick up a batch of snakes from bob clark...picked up some stuff from the lads in cold blooded as well (they were absolutely brill and will def be back over) and had a good look around the zoo as well.

Livin Rainforest in Gloucestershire's well worth a look as well Wink

@Hudsy - we're hopin to produce dwarf albino retics for next yr, all going well. But we'll see, these things are hard to plan for!!!

A mainland sized male retic could get very long - a lot seem to get to around 15 ft or so while still quite young. They could get longer, or not even get that long - it's the luck of the draw, depending on what you want! Tigers seem to grow longer than other morphs/localities.
The good thing is they remain slim and quite manageable compared to burms Wink

Oh, glad to hear you're keeping snakes again trunx. my lonely little heart has missed you so Wink ;D

well that's tiny...and pretty much the size superdwarfs should remain at in any case...my male albino dwarf should even out at about 8/9 ft, so your guys are teeny.

Ps trunx - rob misses you on the new place Wink
