Hello all, I found something odd on Link's tail last night, the best way I can describe it is, a weird dis-colouration of his scales, basically little blotches of scales on his tail have turned this odd milky white colour......He recently shed and it wasn't there Pre-Shed...
Little bit more info, hes still eating, defecating, and super active like normal. I don't know what this could be and I just need to know if this is something small or could be something very big.

Sucky photos I know but they should help, anyone with a corn snake knows picturing the tail is a hard feat..........especially when no one else in the house will help with them
Thanks again for looking.
Joe.

Hi Joe.

Could be a bit of irritation from shedding ? Sometimes when they are rubbing to release the skin they can irritate themselves.
Keep an eye on it for a few days and if it starts to get a any worse I would deffo take him to the vet would be my advice.

i agree with Steve, looks like a little scaring from rubbing during shedding.Doesn't look to bad, should go away but just keep a wee eye to it incase we are wrong.

Hes not changed in any other way bar the weirdo marks Tan. No weird smells, or change in texture from the faded part and the normal part...hes still as active and bit*hy as ever!
Hiya Phil, I'll defo keep an eye on him and keep him as clean as possible so whatever it is will just hopefully clear up.
I'll be sure to keep everyone posted though :)
