Yes it does and I never said I found it funny at all, it infuriates me but then I rescue and spend enough money that I don't have on animals from one end of the year to the other and cannot help them all so maybe of someone else gets the finger out they can help him............

Sometimes people will use humour as a response to something that isn't nice - and on a forum where comments can't easily be put into context, that can come across as if people don't care. As this is an exotic animal forum, you can be assured that people do care - a lot!

Its very sad to see ads like that being posted, but its ridiculous at the same time that someone actually thinks that iguana is in a fit state to advertise for sale. Its tail just fell off....its upper jaw is wrecked....its basically been starved and housed incorrectly....these are the things that we're here to prevent.

iguana's are just one of those animals that should not be sold and put on some sort of protected list because all you see are individuals like this coming up for sale. I was around a reptile shop owner who at the time had 3 and was literally giving them away to anyone even remotely responsible enough to care for them, so the idea that this idiot would sell this animal in this state to just anyone who had the money is the REAL joke. such a sad shame

I'll be honest here, I haven't a clue about iguana's and I'm sure there's a lot like me that doesn't, someone could buy that ig without spotting the problems, I know the tail would be an obvious defect but beyond that most would be oblivious to any health issues. Does the tail actually grow back, I have heard that it does but I wasn't sure weather or not it was fact or fiction.

The tail does grow back in Greens but not always, it depends on the amount that has been lost and the animal it's self. It's common too.

I've said this a few times across the site so apologies for repeating myself but the Green is the number one dumped lizard in America and we aren't far behind. I get so angry when you have such an intelligent animal who can be rewarding and people treat them this way. It's a little like baby gators etc...cute, but look what they grow into.

I agree pacman, Igs AND terrapins should be pulled from the market.

Definitely agree Tan.
It's good to see certain reptiles shops are now refusing to sell them anymore.

But then you have Pets At Home now starting to sell reptiles and selling them with the wrong basic info and setup requirements.
