Recently went onto freshly killed rats from Sci here and even the fussiest of carpets took them first attempt...these fresh kills seem to change even the puniest of snakes over onto rats and keeping an eye here to see if they make any major differences to growth and condition

I Excellent series of shots Buddy. The second hoggy is really good. I forgot you have a housey too.

I have heard many people mention the benefits of rats but haven't actually heard anyone speaking retrospectfully so I would be interested in your findings.

Cheers Tan, I'll keep you posted as these guys now rush forward and some even strike out as I pass with the food while it's defrosting...something they never did before. Think the fact they are so fresh compared to any bought online or in shops has made the most difference.
Kane, my son, has 4 house snakes here now...1 albino and 3 het albino capes

Very nice. I have one myself and hope to get another one at least in the future.

Now I find that very interesting. I really would be interested in your findings. It would be a little like fresh farm killed chicken v frozen.

Cracking photos Buddy.
Do they not get shy when feeding.

My boa won't eat unless she is well hidden unfortunately. :(
