Hudsys Rat Snake
Had one of the longest trips up north ever. Took us almost 7hrs (6hrs 40mins to be exact) to find Hudsy (between road works, diversions to the back of beyond and lack of signage in many areas) but we got there in the end. It didn't help my passenger was ill too & needed to stop a number of times. Apologies to Hudsy who looked at me like I was talking Chinese as I explained in super speed what had happened to us, took the snake & left, all in a matter of maybe under two minuets, flying visit or what lol.
Anyway here is a few snaps of the little stunner. I still think he looks like a Bairds not that it matters. He's very pretty but nervy so didn't spend too long earlier as I didn't want to be eaten :).

Re: Hudsys Rat Snake
Worth all the hassle? I'd say so!!!
Beautiful shots, someone needs to give me some reptile camera work lessons For now, I'll just carry on blaming the camera!
Hope he settles in well for you Tan, and you avoid being eaten

Re: Hudsys Rat Snake
Thanks guys. I don't mind driving at all but was amazed at how long it took lol I have a male & female Bairds so it doesn't matter what 'he' turns out to be and funniest thing happened today.
I was to collect two black rats & a corn from SPCA. Usually there is misidentification with anything I've helped out with and I think I've got two black kings (one nutter sub & one baby) and another Bairds but I'll get some pics up (quick snaps from earlier so not great) tell me what you guys think.

Re: Hudsys Rat Snake
tbh I've not done much just water and changed him when he needed it so minimal handling and I've noticed he's been a bit more adventurous now and not hiding the min he sees me coming.

Re: Hudsys Rat Snake
He's just scared Hudsy. Hes a rattler and a little hissy but it isn't aggression, he'd sooner run then fight. Poor animal is just v v v v scared.
